good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, it’s a great honor to speak here: i am an english teacher.
people often say: teacher is the engineer of human spirit.
last september, i became a teacher.
how to become a real teacher? this is the first difficulty that i come across in my career.
at first, i felt so good and fun to stay with so many lovely students, then i integrated with them, and soon, the problem came out.
if a teacher can’t set up her dignity in front of the students, it will make the class teaching more difficult.
in my lessons, the students often kept on talking, acting, and asking questions.
what should i do? i can’t get along with them like this any more.
i must be strict with them.
pay more attention to what should be praised, what should be criticized.
any carelessness is not permitted.
at last, the class discipline became better.
nowadays, the importance of learning english is obvious.
the world becomes globalization and unify.
the association of each country is closer and closer.
people call the earth as a global village.
english is the first current language in the international world.
the communication of politics, economy and culture is upon english.
as we know, we will take a beating if we lay behind.
how to catch up with the world? that is, study english well to gain the first hand data.
the entrance of wto, the olympic games which will be held in 20xx, shows that we must learn english well as quickly as possible.
forcing study won’t stay in the heart, feeding knowledge into the brain won’t get a good result, and high mark isn’t our teaching goal.
to get a satisfied effect, we should make the students learn on their own initiative.
how to make them feel interested in studying english? i think the key point is the teaching design.
it must be vivid and vigorous.
we can change our study contents into games, performances, competitions and so on.
let them believe english is easy and funny.
as the step of history is advancing, the demand of english teaching is changeable.
the junior students are not what we know as before.
they have a lot of knowledge, and are good at combining english with other subjects, such as history, geography, physics, chemistry and so on.
their english level is higher than what we thought.
many of them started learning english in their primary school.
so english teacher should pursue advanced studies constantly, and master the latest teaching materials and methods to meet today’s demands.
i feel very happy to be an english teacher.
i will do my best to teach english well with my knowledge, my patience and my enthusiasm.
make chinese speak english better, and show their ability and talent in the world stage.
i am proud to tell you: i am an english teacher.

我不是诗人，不能用漂亮的诗句讴歌我的职业；我不是学者，不能用深邃的思想思考我的价值；我不是歌手，不能用动听的歌喉歌咏我的岗位。然而，我是教师——一名中学英语教师，我要在我储存english words的脑海中采撷如花的汉语词汇，构筑我心中最美好的诗篇；我要用深深的思索，推演我心中最奥秘的哲理；我要用凝重的感情，唱出我心中最优美迷人的颂歌——我爱我的教师职业，我爱我的工作岗位。
当我还在读师范的时候，我曾用少女特有的浪漫去设计过自己美好的未来，也用自己火样的热情和赤诚去描绘过自己未来的事业。毕业时，我把玫瑰色的梦幻捆进简单的行囊，带到工作岗位去寻求梦幻的人生。然而，现实并不像伊甸园的菩提果那般完美和甜蜜。当班主任和×个班的英语教学的担子沉沉地压在我并未完全成熟的肩头的时候，当一个个不谙世事、淘气调皮的孩子站在我面前扮鬼脸、耍滑头的时候，当涉世未深、对教育教学规律知之甚少、对困难艰辛估计不足的我却要去开导刚脱去小学校服、对世事似懂非懂但又迫切要求弄懂的初一学生的时候，我才真正体验到了教师平凡生活的滋味，体验到了其中的艰辛和压力。这时，我苦恼过、迷惘过；苦恼迷惘之后也曾动摇过、退却过。但有一件事深深地触动了我，使我从迷惘中寻回了自我，在退却时坚定了初衷。有一次，我感冒了，放学后骑单车去医院看病，在十字路口不小心碰了一个年轻人。在我还来不及向他赔礼道歉时，他便咆哮起来，凶狠的神态叫人望而生畏。此时的我就像一只等待宰割的羔羊吓得瑟瑟发抖，蛮横与粗野的拳头眼看就要落到我的身上。这时，从围观的人群中钻出了我班一个淘气的小同学，他用他那尚未发育成熟的身躯遮护在我的胸前，用他那天真无邪的眼睛紧紧地盯住对方的眼睛，用他那幼稚的童声打断了那满口的脏话和野话：“她是我的老师，我不准你伤害她！要打冲我来好了！”不知是孩子纯洁的童心感化了那个年轻人还是他自己良心发现，他挥舞的拳头慢慢地放下，喷火的眼睛慢慢地熄灭，起伏的胸脯慢慢地平静，然后转过身走出了人群……这时，委屈的我抱住我的学生孩子般地哭了，哭得那样伤心，那样动情。我们的泪流到了一起，心贴在了一起……是的，孩子幼稚，但他们能分清善恶；孩子淘气，但他们懂得怎样保护自己的老师；孩子顽皮，但他们有一颗诚挚的金子般的心。

第3篇 教师英语演讲稿：experience makes you succeed
experience makes you succeedi still remembered the first time when i became a technical secondary school teacher of english literature.
it seemed that it happened yesterday.
at that day, i got quite ready and i had the confidence to be a good teacher.
i arrived at the classroom, eager to share my knowledge and experience with all the students of my class.
having prepared for two days, i had no doubt to hold their attention and to impress on them my admiration for the literature.
“stand up!” the monitor spoke loudly.
the entire class stood up as i entered the classroom.
i was a little puzzled, but quickly that awkwardness was over, i regained my calmness and began my well-prepared lecture, sure to gain their respect--- or even their admiration.
‘i’m your english, miss jiang.
today we are going to learn .’ i was very pleased with work .
as the bell rang, i went back to my office full of a sense of achievement.
the following day when i read my students’ diaries, the rosy glow was gradually replaced by a strong sense of sadness.
the first diary said, “our literature teacher didn’t teach us anything today.
perhaps her next lecture would be better.” greatly surprised, i read diary after diary, each expressed a similar theme.
“didn’t i teach them anything? i described the entire framework and laid the background for the passage we would study in class,” i puzzled.
“how should they say i taught them nothing?” it was a long term, and it gradually became clear that my ideas about education weren’t the same as those of my students.
i thought a teacher’s job was to raise interesting questions and provide enough background so that students could draw their own conclusions.
my students thought a teacher’s job was to provide exact information as directly and clearly as possible.
what a difference! i tell myself i can handle it.’ compared to what others have been through , i’m fortunate.
thinking of these sentences i felt something important struck me.
i believe my life would not be that bad and it was proved to be true.
later during my life and work i always told myself ‘i can handle it.’ when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too overwhelming.
and every time i said it, i always came back to my senses.
now the experience with my students has made me learn a lot, and made me be a better english teacher.

尊敬的各位领导、老师们：
大家下午好。
在这样一个骄阳似火的炎炎夏日里，我们有幸聆听来自新加坡共和理工学院黄慧婷、陈德美两位老师的谆谆教诲，是我们全体参训人员的骄傲。首先，请允许我代表全体学员向两位老师不辞辛苦的工作表示衷心的感谢和最崇高的敬意。是你们给我们带来了全新的教学方法和教育理念，是你们为我们尘封的思想打开了通向外部世界的窗口，是你们为我们带来了友谊的种子，尽管我们仅仅只相处了12天，但彼此间却已建立起深厚的友谊，让我们默默祝愿这份友谊地久天长。
我们要感谢潍坊市教育局，感谢你们把这次培训的机会给了我们xx，而且，学习中途专程冒着酷暑来看望我们，让我代表xx区所有的英语老师说一声“谢谢”。我相信，参加培训的所有教师会把我们所学的先进教学方法带到我们xx英语教学的每一个角落，请市领导放心，我们有信心、有决心给你们交一份英语教学的完美答卷，到时候，请你们再来检阅我们，也希望你们能在日常的教学工作中给我们多做指导。

说实在的，在培训的一开始，我也有一些厌烦的情绪，毕竟是牺牲自己的休息时间，但随着学习的深入，我感到越来越喜欢，我们一起游戏，一起讨论，一起分享教学的快乐。。。。。。现在我可以很高兴地说，这次培训对我们来说是一次很好的机会，我知道，能够使我们满意的原因是各级领导的精心组织，是陈老师、黄老师辛勤工作、个人努力的使然，是“问题启发式”教学方法本身具备的那种磁性的力量。你们用真诚赢得了我们的尊敬。12天，知识已装满我们的行囊。我坚信，我们xx的英语教学会迎来一个全新的未来。请允许我提议，让我们用最热烈的掌声向两位老师的真诚致敬。

since i first steeped on my platform, i have decided to be a good and successful english teacher. however, in my class, when i gave lessons to my students, filled with enthusiasm and passion, some of the students always looked so tired and sleepy. when i spent much of my time preparing for my lessons, trying my best to make my lessons vivid and interesting, the teaching effect and feedback was not that i had expected. moreover, when i was willing and eager to teach them all that i’ve learned, their abilities of english were still mediocre. i was looking for the reasons. and i was always asking myself: am i good and successful? how can i be good and successful?
there were of course many complicated reasons and factors. and in my opinion, whether i am good or not, includes many factors such as my knowledge, my personality, my quality, my methods, teaching art and so on. absolutely, to be a good and successful english teacher is not an easy job. i need to have an excellent command of english myself to make my students appreciate me and enjoy my class. i need to have the abilities to provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and environment for the students’ study. i have to adopt efficient and various teaching methods to my students’ level. i need to develop my teaching art and skills. i should make full of each student’s ability and always encourage them to give them confidence. therefore, “live and learn” and “never too old to learn” have been the mottos i’ve adopted. i must improve my own abilities and skills of teaching, to keep up with the rapid development of our information age and society.
is that enough for me to be good and successful now? no, that’s far from enough.
in spite of all the above aspects of good teaching is the primary and the most important requirement: love teaching and love my students.
i’ve learned to be the students’ teacher, their elder sister, their friend, their mother and so on. i show my care and love for them. whenever they are in trouble, being sick, feeling blue or in a bad mood, i am the person that will try to take care of them, talk with them or try to help them balance themselves in good condition. i respect and trust them. when they fall in love with sb., quarrel with friends, cannot get along well with parents, etc. i’ll analyze the pros and cons, the advantages and disadvantages, and give them some opinions or suggestions. i sympathize with and understand them. when they break the rules or do something wrong carelessly, i will help them out of trouble instead of scolding them. i am always strict with them and also place high and enthusiastic hopes on them to make them be strict with themselves and be confident of themselves.
everyone needs love. love is one of the most magical and wonderful feelings in the world. teachers’ love for their students can make the impossible become possible. the love can change the disvalued into valued. the love can win the students’ love and respect in return. the love can motive the students to work hard. the love can promote the students to better and better in many ways. the love can make the students open their heart to let us know what they are doing, what they are thinking about and how they are feeling.

as we all know, happiness is something that everyone is chasing. but, what is happiness? does happiness have a universal definition? i say no. but there must be something in life that makes you realize what it means. when you are hungry, you have something to eat. don’t you feel happy? when you’re in sick, there is a short message full of care and love from your friend. don’t you feel happy? when you have each tiny wish come true, don’t you feel happy？i always try my best to find out what is the true meaning of happiness. and i think i have got lots of it from my career. today, standing here, i’d like to share with you a little piece of my happiness from my school life.
“dear queen, how do you feel? do we massage well?” lee said softly around me. of course, the “queen” was me. one day, our p.e teacher was out for business trip. so it was my duty to be the leader in this p.e class. after guiding students to play games for a long time. everyone was tired. then, one student lay down. then, another…in a minute, all of the students lay down on the playground. it was so enjoyable for me to see such a great situation, as in the classroom our lovely guys always sit properly to show their poritive attitudes. the sun was shining. the wind was blowing. smelling the faint smell of flowers, i couldn’t help closing my eyes and lying on my back. suddently, a tiny hand touched my arm. “queen, you must be tired after a day’s work. right? i’m your faithful maid. let me serve for you.” then, the other students came over to sit and serve around me. head, neck, leg. wow, that was really a great happiness to have such an experience.
dear friends, everyday we have a lot of work to do. everyday we have a lot of things to complain. but, just like xiao shenyang saying, “the eyes close and open - a day is over. the eyes close but never open , all life has gone.” time is limited. why can’t we focus on our lovely students and keep a happy mind in the school life? just like me. lie down and enjoy the happiness from my kids.
